Groupage Shipments
Emerald Freight Express offers an extensive Export LCL Groupage service which operates on a weekly scheduled basis departing from our Dublin terminal each Friday.
For example our LCL service to the USA/Canada is routed via Liverpool with a transit of 11 days to arrival Newark, NJ.
Our Ocean container is transferred directly from the piers at Newark to a Customs Bonded Terminal, which is operated by our appointed Customs Brokers and we are achieving delivery within the tri-state area inside 16 days, Midwest 20 days and West Coast, USA, 23 days door to door.
Our LCL service to many other global destinations is routed via our Rotterdam Hub on a weekly scheduled basis where the cargo is reconsolidated and dispatched globally across the continents.

We can arrange Cargo release based on an Express or Original Bill Of Lading or on a Cash Against Documents basis. We can also prepare Original Bill of Lading in accordance with the terms and conditions on your Purchase order or Letter of Credit, as may be required.

This illustration shows you how to calculate the Volumetric Chargeable Weight as follows
Let's assume the actual Gross Weight Skid is 150 Kilos, this Skid measures 1 Metre X 1.2 Metres X 1.5 Metres, which is 1.8 Cubic Metres.
In this instance the Freight Charges for Ocean Freight are calculated as 1.8 Cubic Metres X 1,000 = 1,800 Kgs, so the Chargeable Weight is based on 1,800 Kgs.
